There is a new generation of students living amongst us -- those born between 1980-1990 -- and now called the <abbr title="They were born between 1982-1991. These 'digital natives' are always connected to information and to one another. &#160; To be able to guide the net Gen students on the way to become a citizen of the knowledge society, teachers have to experience of and show confidence in how they can incorporate social networking, connectivism, knowledge sharing&#160; in their educational activities using what is described as the phenomenon of web 2.0&#160; and elearning 2.0. <br /> A recent case study in Hungary found that 73% of vocational education and training students are sceptical about their teachers’ skills to apply ICT in class. With partners from Hungary, Turkey, Germany and the UK, the TENEGEN networking environment (TNE) was created.&#160; <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 128);"><strong>TNE helps teachers to study and experience the newest e-learning methods, by cooperating, communicating, providing and sharing knowledge – where they can learn why it is so important for the NET Generation “to be connected”</strong></span><strong>.</strong> Tenegen Team</div></div></div></div><div class="form-item form-type-item"> <label>Language </label> English </div> <div class="field field-name-taxonomy-vocabulary-5 field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Networked learning:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/en/category/network-learning/target-group/net-generation">Net Generation</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/en/category/network-learning/tenegen-0">tenegen</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/en/category/networked-learning/course-0">course</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/en/category/networked-learning/connectivism">connectivism</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-taxonomy-vocabulary-6 field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Project:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/en/category/project/tenegen">Tenegen</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-taxonomy-vocabulary-10 field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Public visibility permission:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/en/category/public-visibility-permission/public">Public</a></div></div></div> Fri, 07 May 2010 07:22:15 +0000 hmaria 875 at http://tenegen.eu Tenegen teachers http://tenegen.eu/en/content/100210/tenegen-teachers-0 <div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><p><a href="http://www.widgami.hu/netgen"><img width="200" vspace="1" hspace="3" height="136" align="right" src="/sites/tenegen.eu/files/tenegen/image/tenegenweb2/Picture%2024.png" alt="Widgami" /></a>The course started in October 2009 and the "course generated content" keeps growing exponentially. We have more than 1000 posts in the forum, we have a survey with 1089 entries given by the students of Hungarian schools - by the members of the <abbr title="They were born between 1982-1991. The teachers are blogging intensively, it's a real adventure to read them collected in the Widgami aggregator.<a href="http://www.widgami.hu/netgen"> http://www.widgami.hu/netgen</a> .</p> <p>In the second module we dealed we started to explore the pedagogical potential of e-portfolios - as a first step the participants created their own e-portfolios in the open source Mahara: <a href="http://mahara.prompt.hu">http://mahara.prompt.hu</a>. After having registered you may browse the portfolios and you will be convinced the schools did not kill the creativity of the Hungarian teachers!</p> <p>Tenegen team</p> </div></div></div><div class="form-item form-type-item"> <label>Language </label> English </div> <div class="field field-name-taxonomy-vocabulary-6 field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Project:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/en/category/project/wp5">WP5</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-taxonomy-vocabulary-10 field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Public visibility permission:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/en/category/public-visibility-permission/public">Public</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-taxonomyextra field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Taxonomy upgrade extras:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/en/category/network-learning/e-portfolio">e-Portfolio</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/en/category/network-learning/knowledge-sharing">knowledge-sharing</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/en/category/networked-learning/course-0">course</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/en/category/networked-learning/connectivism">connectivism</a></div></div></div><ul class="links inline"><li class="translation_hu first last"><a href="/hu/content/100205/tenegen-kurzus-tc01-tc02" title="Tenegen kurzus - TC01, TC02" class="translation-link" xml:lang="hu"><img class="language-icon" src="http://tenegen.eu/sites/all/modules/languageicons/flags/hu.png" width="20" height="15" alt="Magyar" title="Magyar" /></a></li> </ul> Wed, 10 Feb 2010 07:17:04 +0000 hmaria 740 at http://tenegen.eu
